The Swede-O® Thermal Vent® Open Wrap ROM Hinged Knee Brace provides stability, comfortable support, gentle compression, and heat therapy to help relieve knee pain and promote healing. The ROM hinges have snap-in flexion (45˚, 60˚, 75˚, 90˚) and extension (0˚, 10˚, 20˚, 30˚, 40˚) stops, and also provide medial and lateral knee stability. This product is anatomically designed for pre-surgical knee instability and post-surgical rehabilitation when flexion and extension control is indicated.

The front opening does not cause pressure across the patella which helps prevent aggravation to injuries and helps reduce tenderness and bruising. Popliteal cutout helps increase comfort and reduces material bunching during knee flexion. The adjustable closures provide a customized fit and allow for variations due to swelling while the wraparound straps help prevent brace migration. This product contours to the natural shape of the knee for comfort; bilateral design fits right or left knee.

Functional

Had to order larger size due to complicated knee surgery. No longer have kneecap so extra support is crucial. Would have liked -10% extension to build some flexibilty

Uncomfortable and doesn't breathe

I was given this brace at Urgent Care for a swollen, painful knee. It felt fine when they put it on. But as soon as I left and started walking with it on, the hole in the back pinched quite badly. Moreover, it does not breathe and gets sweaty fast. And there are really no useful instructions here on how to deal with these issues, like how to adjust it so you can wear it, or whether if it pinches that means you have the wrong size, or what. Plus, how to properly keep it clean - take out the hinge things to wash? If so, how to put them back properly? This whole experience has been very frustrating. And the cost is ridiculous.
