The Swede-O® Elastic Knee Wrap provides light support without restricting movement. Gentle compression can help reduce mild edema and postsurgical effusion. It can also improve the ability to sense movement within joints and joint position, helping to reduce incidents of sprains or strains. This support is ideal for those with an active lifestyle who suffer from mild injuries, aching, and/or weakened knees.

Designed for comfort, the Swede-O Elastic Knee Wrap is constructed from heavy duty hook and loop compatible material for long term use. The soft elastic material is comfortable against the skin. For a customized fit, the wrap easily adjusts to increase or decrease compression and to accommodate for variations in swelling.

Instructions of Use

Step 1: Open hook and loop fasteners.
Step 2: With leg slightly bent, align horizontal seam with crease on back of knee.
Step 3: Secure bottom closure by pulling strap across front of shin and fastening to support.
Step 4: Adjust the position of the support so overlap is positioned directly under the patella (over the patellar tendon).
Step 5: Secure top closure by pulling strap across front of thigh and fastening to support. The knee patella opening should sit directly over the patella (kneecap).

Not entirely what I was expecting.

Overall it is not a bad knee wrap. My issue I’m having is that the s/m is in a way too big. The length (going around my leg) is fine but the straps are too wide (top to bottom). When I wear it and am standing up it’s as if there is no space in between like in the picture. My knee is not exposed at all. I honestly wish I could return the two I bought and replace it with something closer to what I’m looking for.

Good idea but doesn't work for me

I bought this for a muscle/tendon injury; I can't be sure my pain is coming from above or below my kneecap, so I thought this would hold things in place in both locations well. This product is well made but it doesn't work for me. When I put it on it feels good - but as soon as I walk around, after just a short time the top band starts slipping down & becomes loose. No matter how tightly I put it on, this happens & the top just won't stay in place. The only time I'm able to wear it is overnight when my leg is fairly still.

Convenient and helpful knee wrap

I have had to use knee wraps for support wraps for many years, due to past injuries and eventually, a knee replacement. These are the only wraps I have found that are easiest to use, not too intrusive or visible within hosiery, or clothing, not too hot like Neoprene, are washable, and gently supportive. Because they can be adjusted as to how tightly they are wrapped, this provides another convenient feature. They can also help control swelling if necessary. The contoured and double wrap construction allows the knee cap to move, but the wrap can be turned slightly if the knee cap must be covered.

Will this knee wrap help someone who can not have a knee replacement, but they are bone on bone and have to keep the knee a lined properly? Thank you

I have been ordering the NelMed Knee Support #1168 for my husband for many, many years. Lately when I ordered from Core or Amazon I received a white color but it still had an insert with a picture of the original beige color. This new white one which still has the same #1168 is not the same as the original beige one. IT IS SO TIGHT THAT MY HUSBAND CANNOT USE IT - IT HURTS HIM - don't think that having him try to break it in by wearing it will help. He is not a large man - your brace is different. Notice that now the packaging reflects that this is now a WHITE - Swede-O Elastic Knee Wrap #NEL-1168. What happened to the original beige NelMed??? Can it still be ordered? Elizabeth Maiello

Elizabeth thanks for your question. Unfortunately we had to switch from beige to white due to large minimum order requirements on the beige elastic. However it should perform the same and fit the same and I am sorry to hear it is not. I will have our quality dept look into this immediately.

Good idea but doesn't work for me
