The Swede-O® Front Close Knee Brace with Hinges is ideal for swollen or tender knees, sprains, strains, postsurgical support, meniscus injuries, and patellar tracking disorder.

The wraparound design is easy and less painful to apply and adjust compared to pull-on style knee supports. Medial and lateral buttress pads can be repositioned or removed as needed to help improve patella tracking. Removable aluminum hinges provide knee stability and support to help prevent hyperextension; the plush neoprene construction provides compression and retains body heat to help reduce pain and promote healing.

The front opening reduces pressure across the patella, which helps prevent aggravation to tenderness or bruising. Popliteal cut out helps increase comfort and reduces material bunching during knee flexion. The adjustable closures provide a customized fit and allow for variations due to swelling. Compression straps above and below the knee help prevent brace migration during activities. Bilateral design fits right or left knee.

How-To Fit Swede-O Front Close Knee Brace with Hinges

Instructions of Use

Step 1: Adjust (or remove) the buttress pads along the inside of the patella opening as needed.
Step 2: Release the upper and lower compression straps.
Step 3: With leg slightly bent, position the product with cut out behind knee and hinges adjacent to the knee on each side.
Step 4: Secure bottom closure.
Step 5: Adjust the position of the support so overlap is centered directly under the patella.
Step 6: Secure top closure. The patella opening should sit directly over the patella.
Step 7: Thread the bottom compression strap through the bottom buckle and secure onto itself.
Step 8: Repeat with the top strap. Adjust the straps as needed.
